FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / READ THE LABEL
Three things to ask separately.
Place, cultivar and processing are different pieces of information. A name alone need not decide what you taste.
Where was it produced? Is a more specific place named?
What cultivar does the label or seller identify? Leave it open if unknown.
Ask about tea type and roasting. Oxidation and roasting describe different aspects of processing.

FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / ONE CUP
One cup, your own words.
What does the aroma bring to mind? Use your own associations.
What did you notice in the mouth, and after the sip?
Prompts invite observation; they are not scores or promised flavours.
FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / COMPARE GENTLY
Next time, change one thing.
Use the same tea and vessel. Try changing one condition, such as time, while keeping the others as similar as possible. This is a personal exercise.

FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / A SMALL CONVERSATION
Turn curiosity into a question.
Choose one or two questions at a tea shop or with a friend. Note the answer, and check uncertain details later.
FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / A PLACE BEHIND THE CUP
Meet a place behind the cup.
Read our Pinglin story, then choose one detail to notice. You can also use this sheet for another place and its everyday tea life.
What did I read? What would I like to see or ask about?
Choose one detail—a sign, an object, a language, or tea in the streets—and record what you actually observe.

FUN TAIWAN / TEA FIELD NOTES / KEEP & SHARE
One photo, your own words.
Pair your own photograph with a short note. Describe what you saw and tasted, then your impressions. Associations need not become universal claims.
